Lake Kabetogama

Is the Central Entrance to Minnesota's only National Park , Voyageurs and the home of the historic Kabetogama Walleye statue. It is considered a historical monument and celebrated its' 50th Birthday in 1999. The giant statue, equipped with a riding saddle stands on a concrete base and was erected in 1949 and claimed to be the largest of its kind. Hundreds of thousands of visitors have had their family vacation pictures taken on our walleye, which stands 7 1/2 feet high and 14 feet long. This is a unique landmark off of Highway 53 and County Road 122 and the walleye has always been a Kodak moment for many passerby.
