Leonidas Overlook, Eveleth
The view from this overlook is spectacular. Actually, this hill is man-made, constructed over the years of mining from the overburden (surface materials that covered the ore body) and lean ore (ore with too low an iron content to be profitable) when mined, but stockpiled for possible later use. Much of this overlook came from materials mined from the Leonidas Mine. Located on Highway 101 in Eveleth, MN
